Enjoying lunch with our special visitor...

As well as having a special lunch, we also had a special visitor. Nick Morgan, who works for Learning and Teaching Scotland, (LTS) came all the way from Glasgow to see what we have been doing with International Education, and to sample our Finnish meals. Like so many of the children, Mr Morgan commented that the Pea Soup was excellent! Mr Morgan is here with Jigga, Sunrise, Topcat, Easter Road, Osprey and Dekker.
In the comments section, you can see comments from many of the children (and teachers) who tried the Finnish school lunches.

I really enjoyed it because Finnish food is healthy and tasty. I didn't have the soup, because it was so popular that there was none left when I got there!

It was great to have the opportunity to try something a bit different- and as I ate three courses- the soup, the fish and the pancakes, I felt as if I was really taking it all seriously! Thank you to Sylvia, the cook, for making such a great job of preparing it all for us to enjoy!

I really enjoyd the fantastic day
and as well as the Finnish lunches, we got to try food tasters of 12 of the countries in Europe, that was also great!

Me and Topcat tried every thing that was there whether we liked it or not!

The thing I wasn't too keen on was the pickle from Poland... it was a bit sour!

I loved joining you at Yester primary last week; you were all so enthusiastic about Healthy cooking and eating. The Finnish food was a real treat, that pea soup was especially good.
