Dreaming...

Our class is one of ten classes from schools across East Lothian who have been selected to perform at a concert at the Brunton Theatre in Musselburgh on 3rd March. At the concert we will be singing this song, along with some others we have been learning. This song was inspired by the Tsunami which occured in the Indian Ocean on 26th December 2004. It is a fairly sad, reflective song, but also one which offers hope that one day, there might not be any more sadness and pain in the world.
We hope you enjoy listening to it!

Dreaming
The young girl who lost her dad
the old man who looks so sad
the woman who cries alone
the baby who has no home
Hearts are breaking, hearts are breaking
Dreaming of a day when broken hearts are mended
The father who cannot cope
the mother who has no hope
the brother who feels ashamed
the sister who took the blame
Hearts are breaking, hearts are breaking
Dreaming of a day when broken hearts are mended
One day, no crying eyes
one day, no heavy sighs
one day, no fear or pain
one day, no suffering
Hearts are mended, hearts are mended
Dreaming of a day when broken hearts are mended.(x4)
Are mended.

(Thanks to Fischy Music, for allowing us to use this song on the blog.)
